here at emerging seasons:

my vision is to offer you collaborative in-depth holistic herbal consultations and educational resources to support you in feeling deeply nourished, rooted into your sense of personal power and belonging in the natural world, and inspired to take care of yourself and your community.

i see my herbalist role foremost as a partner and educator, connecting you to herbal, lifestyle and nutritional practices to support you in shifting physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances. I feel especially passionate working with people living with high sensitivity; people with digestive, sleep, fatigue, mood, menstrual cycle imbalances; and folks just looking to incorporate more herbs and rituals into their self and community care practices.

I also believe that change takes time to emerge, there are no quick-fixes, rather this is work we do across seasons, in a cyclical and spiraling way. my herbal practice is inspired by traditional western herbalism and vitalist and animist approaches. other modalities that inform my work include internal family systems therapy, polyvagal theory, and mindfulness.

my  background:

hi! Im felix, a community herbalist. I have been studying herbalism formally for 5 years now though I have been learning from plants for a much longer time. you can usually find me sipping on multiple hot beverages, talking to the river or hawthorn trees near my home, dancing alone in my room, and cooking with my friends.

I am german and mexican-american and have spent half my life living in a small town in southern germany and the other half on the west coast in california (awaswas-ohlone, tongva, and kumeyaay lands) and consider all home in different ways. growing up in multiple countries / cultures / languages has shaped me greatly and I feel very passionate about the experience of mixed ancestry folks and the importance of finding a sense of belonging within ourselves.

I value anti-colonialism, anti-fascism, anti-capitalism and liberation for all and I am constantly in process myself in learning how to better live these myself. I believe the world is animate and one of the biggest problems in the world is that we have forgotten how to communicate with the natural world around us. more than maybe ever before we have enormous tasks of working towards cultural change, protecting each other and the earth, and fighting couragously for justice. and I strongly believe we need to be our most nourished, grounded, and connected Selfs to live up to the task of doing this sacred and vital work.

I am a queer and non-binary person. My sun is in capricorn, my moon and rising are in libra if that means anything to you. I consider myself a quite sensitive, slow and emotional human and I am learning that these are actually some of my greatest gifts.
